God Answers Prayer

On September 30th, I received the best letter from Dave. He told me that he had recommitted his life to Christ. He was out of the boat and walking towards Jesus. Amen. God answers prayer. He is attending a bible study called Spiritual Fitness Training. After each bible study, they take pictures and post them online for family and friends. We were reading through Job together...a chapter a night but when I talked to him for five minutes on October 11th, I was on chapter 12 and he was finished, ha :) He didn't stick to the one chapter a night. I am almost finished with Job now. I am so excited for Dave and his newly restored faith. I can't wait until he comes home and we can worship together. God is at the center of our marriage now and I can't wait to see what He has in store for us! 

Introduction

Hello Everyone! My name is Kait. My husband is in the National Guard. He left for Basic Training at Fort Benning on September 8, 2010. It has been six weeks since I have seen him, and its not easy. Let me give you a little background. My husband and I dated when we were sixteen for about 3 months. He told me he loved me and knew we would get married in the future. I broke up with him a couple weeks later. I was a strong willed girl with goals for my life- having a husband was not one of them. I was afraid of how much I was certain I loved him and decided being away from him was the only way to stick to my plan.  We stayed friends for the next 3 years. I knew I loved him and I told him from time to time during those 3 years, but we always just stayed friends. While I was away at college (October 2007), I got a call during my Literature class- it was Dave and he wanted to come visit me! He came to visit and from that time on we have been together! We got married in September 2009. We have had our share of bumps and bruises- some big, some small, but we made it through. We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary right before he left for Basic Training.
